Hello and Welcome; I am glad you are here. If you’re seeing this, there is a chance you’ve been struggling with the weight of some heavy emotions and have decided to start the brave and vulnerable process of asking for help. Let’s face it, asking for help can be scary and challenging, but I believe making the choice to do our own healing work is one of the bravest things a person can do. I am here to tell you that you are not alone and healing is possible!
As a therapist, I believe increasing the inner connection to ourselves allows us to process and heal current and past trauma, as well as allows us to learn to regulate and process difficult emotions in healthier ways. My passion lies in working with individuals who want to live more open, engaged, and fulfilled lives by supporting them in pursuing the life they have always wanted. I walk alongside my clients as they face challenging emotions, such as shame, fear, and other deep seeded emotional responses from a place of grace and support.
In my practice, I utilize a trauma-informed, wholeness model of therapy by focusing on calming both the mind and the body through the use of somatic, attachment, and IFS techniques. I specialize in working with anxiety and trauma and have a considerable amount of experience working with substance abuse concerns. In addition, I specialize in working with the adolescent population, focusing on a wide range of challenges unique to them, as well as specialize in working with our first responder and military populations and their families. I am also Board Certified in Neurofeedback and often utilize this service as an adjunct to individual sessions to
help my clients further explore and process trauma, as well as to manage challenging mental health symptoms.
In 2020, I graduated from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. I became a Licensed Addictions Counselor in 2021, a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2022, and in 2023, I became board certified in Neurofeedback. I have also completed trainings in Cognitive Skills, Moral Reconation Training, (MRT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, (DBT).
In my free time, I love to be outside hiking and exploring our beautiful state with my husband Ryan, and our two dogs, Denver and Kai. I am a secret history nerd and love reading historical fiction. I was born and raised in Minnesota and therefore, LOVE the water. You can often find me paddle boarding in the mountains over the summer. I am so excited to meet you and begin the process of healing!
Are you tired of feeling anxious or depressed all the time, or like your mind just won't shut off? I know how you feel. Living with an unfocused or chaotic brain can be challenging and overwhelming. It can leave you feeling alone, and like there are not many options out there for you to feel better. Especially, if it feels like you have already tried everything to fix it. I want you to know that you are not alone, and I am here to help!
I started my own journey with Neurofeedback because I was just like you, tired of trying every "cure" out there and nothing seemed to help. When I started Neurofeedback training for myself, I had no idea how impactful it would be and how much it would truly change my life for the better. After seeing just how powerful Neurofeedback was for me, I decided that I was going to share this life changing gift with others and so I started pursuing my own further education in Neurofeedback so that I can help other people REWIRE their brains in order to live more happy, regulated, and fulfilled lives.
I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2014. I am currently pursuing my board certification in Neurofeedback and am under the supervision of Dr. Blair Cano, PsyD, MSCP, BCN.
In my free time, you can find me outside hiking with our dogs, riding motocross, or exploring the mountains. I like to try and get outside as often as I can!
If you're tired of struggling with a brain that just doesn't seem to calm down, struggling to regulate emotions, or even if you struggle with sleep, I am ready to walk along side you as you work to retrain your own brain and get your life back!
